the highwayman ring

...with a bunch of lace at his throat...

this ring is in homage to one of my very favorite poems, "the highwayman" by alfred noyes. the inside of the band is inscribed with the promise from the highwayman to his sweetheart bess, the landlord's black-haired daughter: "look for me by moonlight, watch for me by moonlight..." though hell should bar the way....
